Freight/Oversize Shipments
Freight/LTL shipping quotes are calculated based on delivery to commercial addresses.Β This means that the property must be commercially zoned and have official business hours of operations.Β If you do not have a business address and you have already purchased a Freight or Oversized item then we will contact you with an updated shipping charge that must be paid for delivery.Β If you have not purchased yet and would like a shipping quote to a non commercial address, we are more than happy to help!
When a Freight shipment arrives doΒ notΒ sign the delivery receipt before you have fully inspected the package and have marked down the exceptions and damages on the receipt if they apply.Β If a Freight shipment does arrive and is damaged, we can not help you if you did not sign for it as damaged and clearly note it on the delivery receipt.
Upon delivery of the shipment, if you do not have the ability and/or equipment to unload your product the freight carrier may ask if you would like to have them unload the product with a lift gate or other methods. Any additional services requested such as this may incur an additional fee charged to the customer by the freight carrier and Advanced Truck PartsΒ is not responsible for such charges. The decision to accept these charges lies solely with the delivery recipient.
Free Shipping Promotions
All Free Shipping items will ship either USPS or UPS and will have a 3 to 7 day transit time.Β For any products or promo codes that offer Free Shipping on orders or individual parts, the Free Shipping only applies to the contiguous 48 United States. Β For all other ship to locations, an accurate shipping quote must be calculated and paid. Β Free Shipping also does not apply to oversized or freight items unless specifically stated and a commercial zone address is required.
Canada Shipments
Applicable for Ground Shipments Only - Canada Customs requires Canadian recipients to pay applicable duties and taxes on each shipment entering Canada.Β These charges may include POST, GST, HST, duties and other taxes of goods.Β A brokerage fee may also be charged to process shipments and present the requisite customs paperwork to Canada Customs on the importer's behalf. In some cases, orders may be sent in multiple shipments and can incur additional brokerage charges imposed by Canada Customs. The customer is responsible for brokerage fees, POST, GST, HST, duties and other taxes of goods that are imposed by shipping companies or Canada Customs. In the event the customer refuses to pay those fees, Advanced Truck PartsΒ may be forced to abandon the product at the Canadian border. In that case, the customer will receive no refund back because the product will be lost. *Note - No additional taxes or duties are due for Freight/LTL shipments
International Shipments
At Advanced Truck PartsΒ we are proud to provide international shipping!Β We have a very experienced team of people here to help our international customers receive their parts quickly and at very affordable rates!Β
If you are trying to place an order and our website says that we can not ship to your location please contact us at john@advancedtruckparts.com so that we can give you a custom shipping quote.Β Once you contact us at john@advancedtruckparts.com we will respond quickly with an accurate shipping quote as long as you provide a full physical address with postal code. In some cases our website may quote and charge you the wrong amount for shipping and if this occurs you will be contacted for additional payment.Β While we do our best to have our website calculate accurate shipping quotes, in dealing with international shipments this is difficult and sometimes our team has to calculate the correct shipping rate manually.
International customers are responsible for any duties, taxes, custom charges or currency exchange fees that their shipment may incur during transit.Β In the case of a shipment being refused, all transit charges will be deducted from the customerβs refund.
Damaged Shipments
In the event your product is damaged in transit please contact us at 1-877-795-0656 immediately.Β All damages must be reported within 24-48 hours of receiving your package. If a shipment arrives at your doorstep and is clearly damaged make sure to take pictures as these will help expedite the return process. All warranty claims and damaged items claims need to be handled through Advanced Truck Parts. Do not contact the manufacturer of the product directly as they will not be able to assist you in receiving a new item. Please do not attempt to install the part as this will void any replacement options or claims.
Refused Shipments
You reserve the right to refuse a shipment should you change your mind and decide to return the product. Please contact us ahead of time if you plan to do this so we can set up the appropriate return information in the system. If a shipment is refused upon delivery, then Advanced Truck PartsΒ will deduct the cost of the return shipping from your refund in addition to the initial shipping charge. If the item is damaged upon arrival or defective then we will take full responsibility for the cost of shipping.Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β

When installing a new Bendix compressor, ensure the governor (pressure regulator) is properly adjusted: cut-in should occur around 105Β psi and cut-out about 15β20Β psi higher.
Verify the unloader mechanism and governor lines are connected without leaks so the compressor unloads correctly.
If the compressor on a Cummins engine fails or becomes weak, youβll observe low air pressure warnings and slow pressure build-up.
The truck may struggle to reach the normal cut-out (around 120 psi) β for instance, after startup the pressure might plateau below the target, or take far longer than the specified 3 minutes to go from 85 to 100 psi (a common DOT guideline for heavy trucks).

Verify the unloader mechanism and governor lines are connected without leaks so the compressor unloads correctly. Note that certain Bendix compressors must only ingest naturally aspirated air β using turbocharged intake air is not allowed, as it can cause over-speeding. Follow Bendixβs instructions on gasket usage: all flange-mounted Bendix compressors are installed without a gasket between the crankcase and mounting flange (unless specified), since adding incorrect gaskets can lead to failure. Before startup, fill the engine oil filter and prime the oil supply to the compressor to prevent dry running. Also, ensure coolant lines are properly connected and unobstructed, and evenly tighten mounting bolts. Finally, check for any oil or air leaks and confirm the system builds and unloads pressure at the correct settings.

You might also notice the air dryer purging constantly (every few seconds or continuously), which means the compressor isnβt able to stay in unloaded mode β often due to a leaking unloader valve or governor issues causing it to pump too soon.
Additionally, oil mist or oil drip at the air dryer purge or in the tanks is a clue: excessive oil passing into the air system points to worn rings in the compressor (a frequent issue as compressors age).
On Cummins engines, a failing compressor can also manifest as excessive engine loading β you may hear the engine lug slightly or see a small drop in RPM when the compressor kicks on under heavy demand, or hear a loud knocking if the compressorβs crankshaft is worn.
Any air leak at the compressor head or mounting (for example, a leaking head gasket) will produce a hissing sound and reduce pressure.
Installing a compressor on a Cummins engine requires attention to alignment, plumbing, and adjustments. Most Cummins applications use a flange-mounted compressor with an external oil feed line, so ensure the new compressorβs oil supply line (and return, if separate) is correctly reattached and free of kinks or blockages β proper lubrication is critical. Because the compressor is gear-driven off the engineβs timing gear train, proper timing and gear mesh are important. On certain Cummins models, the compressor drive gear is marked and must be meshed in time with the engine (to balance the engineβs harmonics and minimize vibration) β always follow Cummins service instructions on gear alignment during installation. Mount the compressor with a new gasket or O-ring as required; some Cummins compressors mount metal-to-metal and use O-rings for oil passages instead of a full gasket. Torque the mounting bolts to spec in a crisscross pattern to avoid flange distortion. Reconnect the coolant hoses (for water-cooled units) and bleed the cooling system to remove air, since an air pocket in the compressor head could cause overheating. Itβs also good practice to spin the engine briefly (or use the starter bump method) with the fuel shut off after installation β this primes oil into the compressor before full startup. After installation, adjust and test the governor cut-in/cut-out if it was disturbed or if a new governor is installed. Cummins-powered trucks usually cut-out around 120 psi; verify the governor βcuts inβ (signals the compressor to pump) by ~100β105 psi and cuts out at ~120 psi, and that the compressor unloads properly. Finally, check for coolant leaks at the compressor head and air leaks at all fittings. Given Cummins engines often place the compressor on the side of the engine, double-check any drive couplings or accessory drives (if, for example, the compressor also drives a power steering pump on some models) are securely engaged. With a new compressor properly installed, the Cummins engine should quickly build air to the cut-out pressure and the system should hold air pressure with minimal leakage.
Important: Always verify fitment by part number before installation and follow OEM torque specifications.
