What a Fan Clutch Does
A fan clutch controls when the radiator fan engages. When engine temperatures rise, the clutch activates the cooling fan to pull air through the radiator and reduce engine temperatures. When cooling demand is lower, the fan disengages to improve efficiency and reduce engine load.
